Ingredients

500 g short pasta (penne, maccheroni, fusilli)​
200 g mozzarella​
100 g ricotta​
200 g béchamel sauce​
2 tablespoons grated cheese​
200 g frozen broccoli​
Extra virgin olive oil, as needed​
Salt, as needed​
Pepper, as needed​

Preparazione

Let the broccoli thaw at room temperature.​
Cook the pasta for half of the time indicated on the package, since it will finish cooking in the oven together with the other ingredients.​
Cut the mozzarella and the broccoli into small cubes.​
Fold the mozzarella and broccoli into the pasta. Add the béchamel sauce as well.​
In a baking dish, create a first layer of pasta, add 2–3 teaspoons of ricotta and cover with a few spoonfuls of béchamel sauce and more pasta. Once all the ingredients have been used, cover the last layer with plenty of béchamel sauce, a few cubes of mozzarella and grated cheese. Add a knob of butter on the surface and bake.​
Bake at 180°C for 35 minutes, finishing the cooking under the grill setting to create a golden, slightly crispy top.​
